Northern Essex, Merrimack Health Launch Surgical Technology Program in Haverhill
Northern Essex Community College and Merrimack Health marked the start of a new Surgical Technology program. An open house for that program was held Wednesday inside an operating room at Merrimack Health Haverhill, WHAV reported.
Yoneli Batista studies at Northern Essex Community College and is working toward a career in surgical technology. Batista said she came to the field by accident and she is excited to be studying at Northern Essex. Both institutions celebrated the program's launch.
