Newburyport Lighthouse Introduces Breakfast and Lunch High Teas

According to LPS Founder and President James Hyland, the Lighthouse Preservation Society has joined with The Proper Shoppe to begin offering breakfast and lunchtime high teas at the Newburyport lighthouse. Hyland described the offering as a blend of two niche experiences meant to create a one-of-a-kind romantic dining adventure. The Proper Shoppe described High Tea as an experience that invites pause, pairing curated teas and delicately crafted bites in a space that combines coffee-shop warmth with refined design.

Breakfast slots run 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM and lunch slots run Noon to 4:30 PM. Reservations are available at https://lighthousepreservation.org/reservations/. The Lighthouse Preservation Society is a nonprofit that has worked on national lighthouse issues, participated in Congressional hearings and conferences, sponsored National Lighthouse Day, nominated 35 U.S. lighthouse stamps, and raised nearly $6 million for more than 160 lighthouse projects. More information is at www.lighthousepreservation.org or 603-740-0055. The Town Common first posted this on 2026-10-14.
